Smoky Mountain National Park Streams Remain Open

We at Little River Outfitters sincerely hope you are safe and coping. We are. We are working and serving customers. All the staff are getting paid. Though our business is nowhere near what it would be normally, I am impressed we are doing this well. We can thank you and your support for that, which is very much appreciated by every one of us.

We had a busy curbside service last week and through the weekend. There were actually a lot of visitors in town Sunday. It was a pretty day. I bet many of the people were local. We had an extremely busy mail order business last week. I remain upbeat.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is open, though campgrounds, picnic areas and rest rooms are temporarily closed. The Park Service is encouraging citizens to visit, drive, fish, hike, photograph, view wildlife and enjoy the beauty of this Park during the Spring.

We got a lot of rain last night. The streams are flowing very high today. I do not see any streams on the USGS website that I would call “fishable”. More rain is predicted through tomorrow night.

Keep an eye on our fishing report which I re-write and update daily. When the streams recede, fishing will be very good in the Smoky Mountains.

Have a great day and thank you for supporting us.
