COAST GUARD
The Coast Guard rescued three people Wednesday from the water approximately 6 miles south of Sugarloaf Key after their vessel capsized.
FISHERIES
On Dec. 31, TPWD staff wrapped up the first year of the revamped program with a total of 380 anglers entering 486 “lunker” bass over 8 pounds from 89 lakes across the state.
The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council is holding public hearings to solicit public comments on Draft Amendment 50 – State Management of Recreational Red Snapper.

INVASIVE SPECIES

The popular “Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” University announces a freshwater fishing seminar on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Bass Pro Shops, Dania Beach, FL from 10:00 am to 3 pm.
New dates are set for the Billings workshop due to warm temperatures and risky ice, while a second event in Kalispell is on for Feb. 15-16
YOUTH EVENTS
Children ages 3-15 are invited to participate in a free youth fishing event at Rancho Jurupa Park, a Riverside County Parks Department facility located at 4800 Crestmore Road. Riverside, CA 92509, on Saturday, January 26th, 2019.
