| October 12, 2017
Fort Pierce, FL Maverick Boat Group (MBG) will be distributing 100% of $48,500 raised through the online auction of a Pathfinder 2200 TRS. The online auction concluded on October 5th and the winning bid was placed by Ken and Patti Sweigart of York, Pennsylvania. Auction partners Yamaha Motor Corporation provided the F150XB Outboard, PowerPole provided the 8' Signature Series Power Pole, and AmeraTrail Trailers provided the Custom Aluminum trailer.

"Having seen firsthand the devastation left behind, Patti and I were very excited when we received the email from the Ocean City Marlin Club About the Pathfinder 2200TRS boat auction. The people at Maverick Boats were great to work with, outfitting the boat with the options we wanted. We are anxious to see how the funds are distributed as well enjoy the Pathfinder in beautiful Southwest Florida." said Ken and Patti.
The funds will be distributed as follows; $20,000 will go to the Guides Trust Foundation, $20,000 will go to the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida, and the remaining $8,500 will be held in reserve to be distributed directly to individual members of the fishing community who do not fall under the purview of the two aforementioned organizations. MBG has stipulated that the funds be distributed in the fastest possible time line.

"The importance of recreational fishing to the South Florida and Keys economy can't be overstated," said Fish and Wildlife Foundation Board member Rodney Barreto. "This generous action by the Maverick Boat Group is an important step to getting that industry — and South Florida — back on its feet. Our Foundation is honored to be part of this effort."

"In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma, the Guides Trust Foundation (GTF) wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Maverick Boat Group for their generous contribution to the GTF's Hurricane relief efforts," said Rand Holdstead of the Guides Trust Foundation. "Thanks to contributions such as Maverick's, the GTF, in partnership with the Florida Keys Fishing Guides Association (FKFGA) and the Lower Keys Guides Association (LKGA), is in a position to assist those impacted guides and their families as they start to rebuild their lives."

"Of course, the Maverick Family knew we wanted to help our community but how best to do it provided quite the challenge. Auctioning a boat allowed us to super size our dollars invested and partnering with such great foundations assures the money raised will be thoughtfully distributed." Said Scott Deal CEO and President of MBG.
