IRONCLAD BAITS SIGN DAN SMALL OUTDOORS
Niagara Falls, New York - Lake Resources Group of Waunakee, Wisconsin is proud to announce Dan Small Outdoors has joined Lake Resources Group Inc of Wisconsin as shareholder of this very promising fishing & outdoor products manufacturer.
''What better place to announce this news than at the annual Great Lakes and New York Outdoor Writers Conference in Niagara Falls'', stated Lake Resources Pres/CEO Ben Hobbins. ''We are a mid-west based firm, and this is fittingly our first Outdoor Writers Conference as a new AGLOW member and company. We are pleased to announce this here at the annual AGLOW/NYSOWA Conference.'' Lake Resources Group Inc has developed a patent pending for IronClads® soft plastic lure technologies and products that show great promise for anglers around the world. Dan Small and Judy Nugent of Dan Small Outdoors met with LRG President Hobbins over a month ago in Madison, Wisconsin to iron out the details for Dan and Judy to join LRG as shareholders and become long term spokes people for IronClads® brands. "We are thrilled at having our ''Wisconsin IronClads® Story'' add Wisconsin-based, American Outdoor icons Dan Small and Judy Nugent. They will have strong impact on IronClads® brand development and feel that their reputations and experience add value for all LRG shareholders, themselves included'', said Hobbins. Dan Small is a Wisconsin Outdoors Icon and has hosted Wisconsin Public Television's ''Outdoors Wisconsin'' for decades that airs on Pubic Television every week around the Midwest, with Judy Nugent having joined him in the last decade. Dan and Judy also host Dan Small Outdoors Radio, a radio show aired all around Wisconsin on over 30 stations, and available as pod casts on-line at Lake-link.com, a preferred source for outdoor information and forums. ''Networking good, competent people is what it is all about'', said Hobbins. Development of the IronClads® project leveraged and networked just about every competent local and state player, from the University of Wisconsin Business School, its Polymer Engineering Center, the Wisconsin Governor's office, the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Network, the Wisconsin Innovation Service Center, even a pre-engineering class at a Madison-area high school. "This has been a very rewarding experience in connecting people of various networks together", said Hobbins. ''Dan and Judy are part of a strong, nationally connected sports men and women outdoor writers network, and their reputations are golden. "IronClads® have great potential for everyone'', said Small. "IronClads® lures are strong, stay on the hook, are versatile and can be manufactured in all sizes and shapes. What's more, these lures will not be pulled, torn or flung off during fishing because they LockOn® to hooks and lure sets, and the technology holds strong benefit for the environment", said Small. Ben Hobbins personally demonstrated IronClads® to the National Wildlife Federation's Regional Communications Director, Jordan Lubetkin with AGLOW's Curt Hicken observing at the conference yesterday. Lubetkin stated his excitement for IronClads® soft bait brands because they effectively halt the release of soft plastic lure waste into the environment. In his excitement, Lubetkin stated he would send a communiqué out to the entire National Wildlife Federation about IronClads® beneficial effects for the environment. ''When we started to develop the IronClads® project, we did not immediately recognize soft plastic lure waste issues facing the industry'', stated Hobbins. ''As the project progressed, an annual production of 25,000,000 pounds or more of conventional soft lures was identified and we realized that just about all plastic lures made are lost in our seas, lakes and streams. IronClads® will directly and positively impact these issues'', said Hobbins, ''and fishermen have always wanted products like these that are easier to use, highly flexible, very durable and catch fish after fish". ''Fisheries experiencing heavy fishing pressure around the world will be offered plastic waste relief by IronClads® soft lure technologies'', said Hobbins. IronClads® technologies were not developed as a result of anti-pollution legislation. A new industry player - fishermen and conservation-minded Lake Resources Group Inc developed the technology. Lake Resources President Ben Hobbins met Judy Nugent at July 2007's ICAST50 who conducted a radio pod cast to be aired on Dan Small Outdoors Radio soon. Judy could not believe the site of 10lbs dumb bells hanging off soft plastic lure tails -as was the case for other pros like Ray Scott, Bill Dance, Al Lindner and other hall-of-famers. IronClads® Technologies finished in strong balloting behind Pure Fishing in the Best of Show Soft Lure category at ICAST50 in Vegas. Pros will be getting in 2 to 3 times more casts and covering more water during a tournament interval, and that is what it is all about", says Mathews, LRG VP for Communication and PR. "There will be a lot of smiling -and successful anglers and Pros using IronCladsTM". "Anglers can roll over logs and rocks before the lure fails", said Mathews. Mathews was referring to a test with a tournament angler at ICAST50, where LRG CEO Hobbins and a pro angler pulled, tug-of-war style on a wormCladTM soft bait that was attached to two Gamagatsu tournament finesse hooks on either end and attached to musky leaders... "We put over 250 pound of pressure on that set up", said Hobbins. ''The musky leaders started to unravel and something snapped: I rolled down the isle at the show, a comical sight to see". "I got up, and what I saw was simply hard to believe: the G-hook broke and not a fray for the lure!" "I couldn't stop laughing and either could the Pro", says LRG CEO Ben Hobbins. "Ben, you got to send me some of those (lures), son," said fishing Hall-of-Famer Ray Scott upon touching and witnessing the flexibility and strength of IronCladTM soft baits. IronClads® lure demonstrations here at the AGLOW/NYSOWA conference have startled many. AGLOW/NYSOW writers all are positive of the technologies positive impact for anglers and the environment. We are excited by their support in helping uncover this technology for anglers and the public. "We are excited to add value for anglers, the environment and a positive image for fishing by way of our cutting edge technologies". ''We plan on taking this technology and our products Global and what could be better than an American company leading the way to industry-wide improvements'', said LRG CEO Hobbins. Media Contact
