HARVEST CLOSED FOR CURLEW LAKE TIGER MUSKELLUNGE

Action: The harvest of tiger muskellunge in Curlew Lake (Ferry County) is prohibited from June 13, 2007, through July 20, 2007.

Effective dates: June 13, 2007, through July 20, 2007.

Species affected: Tiger muskellunge.

Location: Curlew Lake, Ferry County.

Reason for action: Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife personnel are conducting a biotelemetry study on movement and behavior of tiger muskellunge in Curlew Lake. Prohibiting harvest of tiger muskellunge from June 13 through July 20, 2007, will facilitate FDA compliance with regulations for fish that are anesthetized during capture and tagging activities scheduled for the week of June 13.
