PENSACOLA CHOSEN AS CHAMPIONSHIP DESTINATION FOR THE 2007 OH BOY! OBERTO REDFISH CUP

Little Rock, Arkansas - For 30 of the world's best saltwater fishing teams it all comes down to one final cast and one last shot to reel in the glory. The Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup has announced Pensacola, Fla., as the site of their 2007 championship set for Sept. 21-23, and it promises to be the most challenging and exciting in the five-year history of the series.

"The Cup Championship is the biggest event in competitive redfishing and we were looking for a place that could do it justice," said David Healy, vice president of sales and sponsorship for the Cup. "By teaming up with the Seafood Festival, our anglers will be able to show off their skills to more than 50,000 fans who attend that event each year."

The Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Championship brings together the top 15 teams from both the East and West OPEN divisions for a no-entry fee battle of the titans and a shot at the guaranteed first place prize of $75,000 and more than $250,000 in potential prize money. Teams competing in all three OPEN events in a division accrue points toward the Championship.

But this year's championship is about much more than just fishing. It will be held in conjunction with the 30th annual Pensacola Seafood Festival in the Seville Square area of historic downtown Pensacola, which means huge crowds on hand to watch the world's best anglers weigh their catches each day.

"The Pensacola Bay Area is best known for its sugar-white beaches, rich history and succulent cuisine, but this event is an exciting opportunity to show off our incredible fishing to the world," said Ed Schroeder, vice president of tourism development for the Pensacola Bay Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. "We're looking forward to adding the Redfish Cup to this year's seafood festival lineup."

The Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup is in its fifth year as the most visible and lucrative redfishing tournament in the world. It has been broadcast to over 15 million viewers on ESPN2 and this year features its largest potential payout at more than $2 million over the course of 10 events.
